Can’t wait to read Breaking Dawn? Love Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series? Join us at Galesburg Public Library for a book discussion of Breaking Dawn on Saturday, August 9 at 2 pm. We’ll be debating Jacob vs. Edward and dishing about the whole series. Refreshments will be served! Hey, Twilight fans!

GPL is hosting a book discussion of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight on Wednesday, July 16 at 3:30 pm. Venture upstairs to the Sanderson Room and divulge what you like best about the novel: Is it the vampire-driven plot? Characters Bella, Edward, or Jacob? Can you see yourself in gloomy, rainy Forks?

Enjoy some red velvet cake while you dish about Twilight. Oh, and don't forget: we're having a discussion of New Moon one week after that, on Wednesday, July 23 at 3:30, with a discussion of Eclipse the week after THAT on Wednesday, July 30 at 3:30. Give in to your Twilight-New Moon-Eclipse obsession and talk about the books at GPL!

Love anime movies? Ever seen Howl's Moving Castle?

Whether you'll be seeing this flick for the first time or the 50th, join us at GPL this Saturday, July 12 at 2 pm for a showing of Howl's Moving Castle. Sophie, dressmaker's assistant in a hat shop, finds herself transformed by a curse into an old woman way before her time. She seeks the Wizard Howl to change her back into the girl she was, but will he do it? Can he do it? Howl's having problems with transformations of his own. Follow Howl and Sophie as they strive for change in their world on Saturday, July 12 from 2-4 pm upstairs in the Sanderson Room! Oh, yeah -- and the showing is free!
